There will be no Makerspace events for the month of May as we get ready for the Summer. 

Summer Events

Knitting, Mondays, June 10 - July 29, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Makerspace

Tyler Public Library Makerspace will be having beginning knitting classes for kids from ages 11-17 during the Summer Reading Club. The classes will start June 10th and run through July 29th and will be occurring every Monday from 10-12 a.m. They will be working on a charitable project where you knit one or more 7″ x 9″ rectangles for the charity Warmupamerica.org. Sign up is limited to 15 teens. Sign up now.

June 8, Make a Nebula Jar, 2-4 p.m.

June 22, Learn about Green Screen, 2-4 p.m.

July 13, Solar Printing, 2-4 p.m.

Learn how the sun can cause chemical reactions in this solar printing activity.  Sign up now.


July 27, Stop Motion Space Adventure, 2-4 p.m.

Learn how stop motion works and make a stop motion space story with the group.  Sign up now.

 

Rover Makercart

Rover the Makercart went live in January bringing mobile S.T.E.A.M challenges  to the Kid's and Teen's area. Stay tuned to this area to learn when Rover will be rolling up with a new challenge.
