Some Common Questions

What colors are available?

The selection of colors is subject to availability. Patrons may choose from the colors below for their prints, but please note that the gray filament is the easiest to paint for customization. We cannot print in any color not listed. The library frequently has the following colors on hand:

  • white
  • red
  • blue
  • translucent blue
  • green
  • gray (easy to paint)
  • glow-in-the-dark
  • black
  • yellow
  • pink

Check with the Info Desk periodically for any additions or changes to our options.

How long does it take?

Normally the library will be able to complete print requests in 1 week. We will add your request to our print queue and contact you as soon as the item is ready for pick up.

How large is 10 grams of plastic?

The weight of an object depends on several factors, including how hollow or solid an object is (the ”infill”), the amount of support, or the size of the object itself. Feel free to stop by the Library’s Info Desk with questions where we can give you an estimate of weight and cost.
