The Tyler Public Library caters its Makerspace to the areas of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics). The Makerspace is for kids, teens, and families who want to learn, play and grow together. A library card is NOT needed to participate and classes are FREE! Tyler Public Library Makerspace will be having beginning knitting classes for kids from ages 11-17 during the Summer Reading Club. The classes will start June 10th and run through July 29th and will be occurring every Monday from 10-12 a.m. They will be working on a charitable project where you knit one or more 7″ x 9″ rectangles for the charity Warmupamerica.org. The class is full.

Rover the Makercart went live in January bringing mobile S.T.E.A.M challenges to the Kid's and Teen's area. Stay tuned to this area to learn when Rover will be rolling up with a new challenge.
